HZPC Association does not have the economic ownership of the shares it manages, so the shares are not recognized as an asset in the balance sheet of the HZPC Association. The HZPC Association also has no obligations towards its certificate holders for the issued certificates, other than distributing to the certificate holders the benefits associated with the shares that become available, such as received dividends. Therefore, the HZPC Association does not include the managed shares and the issued certificates in the balance sheet. For that reason, the shares and certificates are accounted for as memorandum items (PM) in the balance sheet.
